Anklets for women at Pellington
Three anklets, each a different idea. Sahare runs marquise-cut zircon the length of the chain for tennis anklet sparkle. Hayyah is a flat herringbone anklet that lies like liquid gold against the skin. Haneen links fine gold leaves into a laurel vine. All three are 18k PVD gold plated over 316L surgical-grade stainless steel, AED 79 to AED 199, and all fasten with a lobster clasp and an adjustable extender finished with the Pellington disc.
How do I know my anklet size?
Measure around the ankle bone with a soft tape or a strip of paper, then add 1.5 to 2 cm so the chain rests rather than grips. Most women land between 23 and 26 cm. Because all three pieces carry an adjustable extender, one length genuinely covers that range, which is why an anklet is the easiest thing on this site to buy for someone else. Wear it on whichever ankle you prefer; there is no rule worth repeating.
Can you swim in a gold plated anklet, and will it survive sea water and chlorine?
Yes to swimming, with one habit attached. An anklet takes more sun, salt and friction than anything else you wear, so this is the category where the base metal earns its keep. The 316L grade contains molybdenum, which is what resists pitting from chlorides, and sweat, sea air and pool water are all chloride environments. Rinse in fresh water and dry after a long swim. Chlorine and seawater are harsh on every finish, including a solid 22-carat one, so this is not special pleading for plating.
What do you wear an anklet with?
Summer jewellery answers to bare skin, so the anklet does the work a bracelet would do in winter. Two at slightly different lengths layer well, as long as one is flat and one is stone-set: Hayyah under Sahare is the combination that works. It sits naturally with a bracelet in the same plating, and beach jewellery that survives the drive home matters more here than it does anywhere else. Waterproof jewellery in the UAE answers the sea and chlorine question directly.
Will it tarnish over a summer?
No. Stainless steel does not tarnish the way brass, copper or sterling silver do, because there is no copper in the core to form dark oxides. What happens to any plated piece eventually is that the layer thins at friction points, and on an anklet that means the clasp. The 12-month warranty covers discolouration, plating that lifts and a clasp that fails. Jewellery care 101 covers the one-minute rinse.
