About the Sahare Crystal Tennis Anklet
Sahare runs a single unbroken row of marquise-cut stones the whole length of the chain, each pointed at both ends and held in its own set of claws. Nothing interrupts the line, which is what makes it a tennis piece rather than a chain with stones on it. It is 18k PVD gold plated over 316L surgical-grade stainless steel, and fastens with an adjustable finish so one length covers a range of ankles.
Where the name comes from
Sahare is drawn from the dawn, the hour before the light arrives properly, chosen for the way marquise cuts throw a paler, cooler sparkle than round stones. Every name and its meaning is on The Names Behind the Pieces.
What a tennis setting does on an ankle
An ankle moves differently from a wrist. It swings through a wider arc with every step, so a continuous line of stones catches light in a rolling sequence rather than in flashes, and the marquise shape exaggerates that. It also has to rest rather than grip: a tennis line worn tight rolls the stones underneath and hides them, which is the one way to make this design look wrong.
Layering it with the other two anklets
There are three anklets here and they are built to be worn in pairs. Sahare over the flat Hayyah Herringbone Anklet is the combination that works, because one is liquid and plain while the other is all facets. The Haneen Leaf Chain Anklet is the third, a laurel of fine gold leaves, and it layers the same way. The full anklet collection is those three pieces.

An anklet takes more sun, sand and salt than anything else you own, so this is where the base metal earns its place. 316L holds two to three per cent molybdenum, and molybdenum is what resists pitting from chloride, which is what sweat, sea air and pool water all are. Swim in it, then rinse and dry it, which is advice any jeweller gives about any finish.
