Bangles and cuffs: your questions
The little details, answered. Anything else, we're one WhatsApp message away.
What is the difference between a bangle and a cuff?
A bangle is a rigid bracelet that goes all the way round. Ours are either hinged, opening on one side and clicking shut (Kanz, Nabad, Yasmine, and Anaqah with its box clasp), or one-piece like Kaveri, which slips over the hand. A cuff is rigid but open at the back, so you slide it on from the side: Uqda and the Ayat ul Kursi cuff.
How do I know a bangle will fit?
A hinged bangle opens and closes around the wrist, so it never has to pass over your hand. Kaveri is one piece with no hinge, so it does: it measures 64 mm across inside. Bring your thumb in towards your little finger, as if putting on a bangle, and measure straight across the widest part of your hand; if that is under 64 mm, it will go on. The open cuffs slip on at the narrowest part of the wrist, and Uqda can be eased gently for a closer fit. Not sure? Message us on WhatsApp.
Can I wear a bangle with my watch?
Yes. Put the watch on first and one bangle beside it, or wear the bangles on the other wrist. Mixing textures looks deliberate: a ribbed bangle beside a smooth one, or a stone-set piece with a plain cuff. The Ayat ul Kursi cuff has a brushed satin finish, made to sit next to a watch without competing with it.
Are these solid gold bangles?
No. They are 18k gold plating, applied by PVD, on 316L stainless steel, not solid gold, and they have no resale value. They are waterproof for hand-washing and wudu, rain, the shower and the gym. After a long swim in the pool or the sea, rinse them in fresh water and dry them.
Can I return it?
Yes. You have 30 days to send a piece back for a refund, store credit or an exchange. Full details are in our refund policy.
