About the Emira Crystal Hoop Earrings
Emira is a bold open hoop, 24 mm across and 24 mm high, set with pave clear zircon along its face. It closes with a hinged hoop mechanism rather than a butterfly back, so the hoop itself is the fastening. The pair weighs 9 grams. It is made in 18k PVD gold plated 316L surgical-grade stainless steel.
A 24 mm hoop, and what that size does
Twenty-four millimetres is the size at which a hoop starts to move independently of the head. Below about 18 mm a hoop grips and stays put; at this diameter it swings a little with every step, catching light in sequence rather than all at once. That movement is most of what you are buying.
Hinged hoop closures explained
One end of the hoop is hinged and the other carries a small post that clicks into it, so the circle closes on itself and there is no separate back to lose. It is the most secure closure on any earring here and the reason a hoop this size can be worn without checking it.

Stones set along the outer face of a moving hoop take more knocks than stones on a stud do, so this is a pair to glance over occasionally rather than never. Water is not the concern: showering, sweating and swimming are all fine, and the gold is bonded by vapour deposition to a core with no copper in it to react, so the colour holds without tarnishing. Rinse after the sea. Earrings cannot be returned or exchanged for hygiene reasons, which is the one exception to our 30-day return, so be certain of the style; a faulty pair is replaced if you message within 48 hours.
