Opalia sets an iridescent opal cut as a four-leaf clover inside a halo of zircon, so the colour sits at the centre and the light sits around it. They fasten with secure stud backs and lie flat against the lobe. The setting is 18k PVD gold plated 316L surgical-grade stainless steel, and the clover shape is repeated across a small set rather than being unique to this pair.

Cutting opal into a shape with four lobes is harder than cutting it round, and it is the reason this pair looks different in every photograph: each lobe catches the play of colour at a slightly different angle, so the four never fire at once.
