About the Shamsa Opal Stud Earrings
Shamsa centres an opal cabochon inside a sunburst halo of zircon, the stones set as rays fanning outward from the stone. Each stud measures 15 mm in diameter. They fasten with secure stud backs and sit flat, and they are built in 18k PVD gold plated 316L surgical-grade stainless steel.

A sunburst is a halo with intent. Instead of ringing the stone evenly, the zircon is set in rays of slightly different lengths, so the outline is star-shaped rather than circular and the earring throws light outward rather than containing it. Fifteen millimetres is the size at which that pattern is still legible.
