Three easy ways to measure
1. A ring you already wear
Take a ring that fits the finger you are buying for. Lay it on a ruler and measure straight across the inside of the circle, edge to edge. Match that number to the Across column. This is the fastest and most accurate method. It works for gifting too: quietly borrow a ring they wear on the right finger.
2. A strip of paper
Cut a thin strip of paper or use a piece of thread. Wrap it around the finger, snug but comfortable, and mark where it meets. Lay it flat against a ruler. That measurement in millimetres is the Around number. One caution: do not pull it tight. If your knuckle is wider than the base of your finger, measure both and pick a size between the two.
3. Our printable ring sizer
Print it at exactly 100% scale, never "fit to page". Check the bar on the sheet measures 5 cm, then place a ring you own over the circles until one matches its inside edge.

- Fingers are at their largest in the evening. Measure then, in a comfortably warm room.
- Your dominant hand runs slightly larger, and every finger is its own size. Measure the exact finger you are buying for.
- Index fingers run about a size larger than ring fingers. Pinkies run 1 to 2 sizes smaller.
- Measure twice and take the average.
- Between two sizes? Go up. A slightly loose ring is an easy fix. One that will not pass your knuckle is not.

About the Ahlam Black Stone Signet Ring
Ahlam sets a smooth rectangular black stone flat into the face of a signet, with no claws and nothing raised above the surface of the band. Everything around it is texture: the shank is worked in a brick pattern, small rectangles stepped against each other so the gold reads as built rather than polished. In 18k PVD gold plated 316L surgical-grade stainless steel, the flat black against a broken gold surface is what gives it a vintage look at a fraction of vintage weight.
The brick-textured band
Texture on a shank does something practical as well as visual. A brick-worked surface gives the ring grip against the finger next to it, so a signet worn beside a plain band does not slide out of line through the day. It also hides the small scuffs a polished shank shows within a week.
What Ahlam means

Sizing a signet you will wear on the index finger
Signets are traditionally worn on the little finger, but the flat face of this one works better on an index or middle finger, where it is seen from above. Measure the finger you actually intend to wear it on rather than your usual ring finger, because the difference between the two is often a whole size. It comes in 6, 7 and 8, and an unworn size can be exchanged within 30 days.
Black stone, gold band, and the daily wear question
A flush-set stone has no claws to snag or bend, which makes this one of the easier pieces to forget you are wearing. Hand washing, the shower, the gym and the sea are all fine; the gold is bonded by vapour deposition to a steel core with no copper in it to darken, so it holds colour without tarnishing. Rinse and dry after a swim. The 12-month warranty covers discolouration, plating that lifts and a stone that works loose in its seat.
