About the Dawlah Drop Tennis Necklace
Dawlah runs a continuous tennis chain of zircon and then hangs round pearls from it at intervals, so the line of light along the collarbone is broken by soft drops that move independently. It is the only piece in the range that combines a full tennis setting with pearl. Built in 18k PVD gold plated 316L surgical-grade stainless steel on an adjustable chain.
Pearls dropped along a tennis chain
The two elements do opposite things and that is why they work together. Zircon is hard, faceted and returns light in points; pearl is soft, rounded and glows rather than sparkles. Hanging the pearls below the line rather than setting them into it lets them swing, so the necklace has movement a fully rigid tennis chain does not.
Dawlah is a royal presence
Dawlah carries the sense of a royal presence, from the word for a state or a dynasty. It is the grandest name in the range and it was given to a piece built to be noticed. The meanings are collected on The Names Behind the Pieces.
Where the pearls change the care
Everything metal here is indifferent to water and chemistry. The pearls are not, and the single habit that matters is order: perfume and hairspray first, necklace afterwards. Rinse in fresh water after the sea rather than letting salt dry on them, and store the piece flat rather than dropped in with harder stones.
From evening to everyday
A full tennis line reads as formal, and the pearls are what pull it back towards daily wear, because they soften the sparkle enough to survive daylight. It works over a plain crew neck as easily as it does over an open collar. Beyond the pearls, the piece asks nothing: the steel core carries no copper to react and the gold is bonded rather than dipped, so it holds colour without tarnishing through showers, humidity and sweat. The 12-month warranty covers discolouration, plating that lifts, stones that work loose and a clasp that fails. Free delivery across the UAE with no minimum, next day before 5 PM, 30 days to return unworn.
