Where it sits
At 40 cm the chain rests right at the collarbone. With the 5 cm extender it reaches 45 cm, sitting just below the collarbone — an easy way to layer it over a shorter chain.

About the Farasha Butterfly Necklace
Farasha hangs a zircon-set butterfly from a fine cable chain. The pendant stands 17 mm high and spans between 15 and 21 mm across depending where the wings are measured, and the chain runs 40 cm with a 5 cm extender at 1.9 mm thick. It is 18k PVD gold plated 316L surgical-grade stainless steel throughout.

Two numbers for the width because the wings are not a rectangle: 15 mm at the narrow point, 21 at the full span. At that scale the shape is legible across a table without becoming the only thing anyone sees, which is the difficulty with any figurative pendant. Anything smaller reads as an abstract sparkle.
1.9 mm of cable chain, and why it is fine
A 1.9 mm cable is deliberately slimmer than the pendant would justify. A heavier chain would compete with the wings and make the whole thing look like a charm; keeping it fine lets the butterfly appear to sit on the skin rather than hang from something. It also means the piece layers under a longer chain without bulk.
