The Raya earrings wrap a chunky gold huggie hoop in dense pavé crystals, catching the light with every movement. Crafted from 18k PVD gold-plated stainless steel and set with sparkling clear zircon, they hug the lobe close for an everyday sparkle that dresses up or down. About the Raya Crystal Huggie Earrings
Raya is a chunky huggie: a small, thick hoop of 15 mm wrapped in dense pave clear zircon, closing on a hinged mechanism so the hoop is its own fastening. The pair weighs 5.3 grams. It is made in 18k PVD gold plated 316L surgical-grade stainless steel, and it is the smallest hoop in the range and one of the two lightest pairs.
What makes a huggie a huggie
Not the diameter alone, but the ratio. A huggie is thick relative to its opening, so it grips the lobe rather than hanging from it. That is why it does not swing, does not catch on a jumper being pulled over the head, and does not press into your cheek against a pillow. It is the hoop you forget you are wearing.
15 mm, dense pave, 5.3 grams
Fifteen millimetres of hoop covered in closely set stones puts a lot of light into a very small object. The density is the point: spaced stones on a piece this size would read as three dots, while a continuous pave reads as a lit ring.

Because it grips and has no separate back to lose, this is the pair most people leave in permanently, and there is no reason not to. Showering, the gym, the pool and the sea are all fine; rinse in fresh water after salt so nothing dries in the pave. The gold is bonded by vapour deposition to a steel core with no copper to react, so it holds colour without tarnishing. Earrings cannot be returned or exchanged once shipped, hygiene being the reason, and that is the only exception to our 30-day return.
