Where it sits
At 47 cm the chain rests just below the collarbone. With the 6 cm extender it reaches 53 cm, sitting on the chest — an easy way to layer it over a shorter chain.

The Sabr and Shukr necklace hangs as a Y, with Sabr cut through the metal where it meets the collarbone and Shukr falling 50 mm below it on a slim drop chain. It is made in 18k PVD gold-plated stainless steel on a 47 cm chain with a 6 cm extender, a lobster clasp and the signature engraved disc. About the Sabr & Shukr Drop Necklace
Two Arabic words cut clean through the metal and hung as a Y. Sabr sits where the chain meets the collarbone, and Shukr falls below it on a slim drop. Both are 18k PVD gold plated over 316L surgical-grade stainless steel, finished with a lobster clasp, an extender and the signature engraved disc.
Two words that travel together
Sabr means patience and shukr means gratitude. They are almost always spoken as a pair, because the idea is that they cover the whole of a life between them: one for what is hard and one for what is given. Splitting them across two heights on the same chain is the point of the design rather than a decorative choice.
47 cm, and a 50 mm drop below it
A Y-necklace does not sit flat the way a pendant on a single chain does. The chain is 47 cm with a 6 cm extender, so the 20 mm upper word rests low against the collarbone, and the 21 mm lower word hangs 50 mm beneath it on its own strand. That gives the piece a vertical line a round pendant cannot produce. The line wants an open neckline to fall into and does not want a second chain beside it, which is the one styling rule worth following here.
Cut through, not stamped on
The letterforms are pierced right through the metal, so daylight passes through the counters of the script and the words read against skin rather than against gold.
