Ring stacks at Pellington

Eighteen rings designed to be worn together rather than one at a time. Every band is 18k PVD gold plated over 316L surgical-grade stainless steel, priced between AED 79 and AED 199. Stacked bands like Arba'a, Thalatha and Rubaaiyah give you the look of three or four rings in a single piece. Solitaires such as Diya, Shuhur and Jadhbah lift one zircon on a slim shank. How do I find my ring size at home?

Sixteen of the eighteen come in sizes 6, 7 and 8. Izza and Zareen are one-size bands instead. Wrap a strip of paper around the base of the finger, mark where it meets and measure in millimetres: 51.9 mm is a size 6, 54.4 mm a 7, 56.9 mm an 8. What if I have larger knuckles?

Size to the knuckle rather than the base and accept that the band will turn a little once it is past. A wide band needs roughly half a size more than a thin one, which is worth knowing before you buy a stackable rings set rather than one ring. Izza works as an adjustable ring set of sorts, opening slightly at the back, and it is the easiest starting point when your knuckle and base measurements are far apart. Sizing exchanges are straightforward within 30 days.

How do you stack rings on one finger?

Two or three bands of different widths read better than three of the same. Put the widest at the base, keep the stones facing one way, and leave a neighbouring finger bare so the stack has somewhere to breathe. Stackable rings for women tend to work harder spread across two adjacent fingers than piled on one, and mixing a plain band with stackable rings gold-set with zircon gives contrast that a matched set cannot. Will gold plated rings tarnish?

No. Rings are where this matters most, because hands get washed more often than anything else gets worn. PVD bonds the gold to a steel core with no copper in it to react, so these are tarnish-free rings you can keep on through washing up, the gym, the shower and the sea. The 12-month warranty covers discolouration, plating that lifts and stones that work loose. After a long swim, rinse in fresh water and dry them, which is sound practice for any finish.
