This is the Mawj design with a round green stone in place of the clear one. The split shoulders and the rising curve are identical; what changes is everything the colour does. Green sits against warm gold with far more contrast than a colourless stone manages, so the same silhouette that reads as delicate in crystal reads as deliberate here. It is 18k PVD gold plated 316L surgical-grade stainless steel.
A coloured stone absorbs where a clear one transmits, which means it shows less fire and more depth. On a small round cut that is the right trade. It also changes what the ring goes with: green picks up the emerald and olive that run through a lot of Gulf evening dressing, and it does not compete with a clear stone worn on the other hand.
They were designed as a pair and they work worn on adjacent fingers, green on the index and clear on the middle, or the reverse. The stone is synthetic and prong-set, so sun, heat and humidity do not fade or lift it. The gold is bonded to the steel core by vapour deposition rather than dipped, which is why it holds colour through a summer here without tarnishing.
